We have reached the end of term! Our academic year has now finished and our trainee teachers are excitedly preparing for the next stage of their careers. As usual at this time of year, we are reflecting on the journey and wonderful times throughout 2023-2024. If you would like to read a blog post from one of our trainees on course this year about their own, personal reflections on the year, please visit: https://www.knste.set.org/blog/2024-07-17-14-53-22-reflecting-on-my-experience-at-knste-qts-and-pgce

Our trainee teachers have a full-time block of placement between Easter and the end of the summer term. This full-time block finishes just before the end of the school term and the trainee teachers come back to the SCITT for the final week of the course. This year final week was Monday 1st July – Friday 5th July 2024.

The final week is always such a joyful time. We started the week with final sessions which include welcome back and preparing for final uploads.  We also had PE sessions, a supply agency marketplace and a full day of outdoor learning taking place. It is great to see our trainees back for the week! On the final day, the trainees had planned, prepared and practised their final presentations ready to present. During this, our trainee teachers are given the opportunity to share with the rest of the cohort their specialism. It is such a wonderful day full of celebrations and collaboration. Well done to all our 23-24 cohort of trainee teachers for completing their year of initial teacher education. We are proud of all of you!

Next up in the calendar was GRADUATION! This year, graduation took place at Keele University on Friday 12th July 2024. We eagerly awaited outside the chapel to get a glimpse of our cohort donning their caps and gowns. It is truly a lovely day to celebrate the achievements of all our trainees and to see them receive their PGCE awards during the ceremony.

This year has flown by and we are proud to see our trainee teachers embarking on the next phase of their journey. We will miss seeing all your faces in the Bungalow at Keele. Good luck in all that you choose to do next! We are so proud of you all and the difference you make!

We would like to thank all of our partnership schools, staff, mentors, support staff and colleagues who have worked with us this academic year and who continue to work and support KNSTE. We are so very grateful and appreciative of all the support. We hope you too have a wonderful, well-earned break over the summer holiday.
